Urban Child Study Center Participates in SSSR Annual Meeting
Researchers, faculty, and students in the Urban Child Study Center participated in the annual meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Reading (https://www.triplesr.org). Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Society is dedicated to disseminating rigorous basic and applied research on reading and literacy. Members of the Center presented original research on a wide array of topics, including early writing development and instruction, self-regulation, the relations between spoken dialect variation and language and reading achievement, and parent, teacher, and caregiver beliefs about early literacy. These incredible contributions to the field of education research would not have been possible without our many partners in metro Atlanta.
