In Hwang receives L & L Undergraduate Annual Research Fellowship

in_hwangIn Hwang was recently awarded a Language and Literacy Undergraduate Research Fellowship ( for 2017-2018.  She will examine the receptive vocabulary profiles of preschool and elementary school children who speak African American English and investigate how these receptive vocabulary profiles are influenced by dialect density.  In is a senior who is pursuing her Bachelors of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  She began working at the Urban Child Study Center as an intern through the Research Internship in Urban Education Course (EDUC 4982) in Spring 2017.  She brings her previous research experience with the Marcus Autism Center to our team.
